Weird Magazine: pages of pure horror
1984 was very special. The year that gives its name to the most popular and influential dystopia in fantasy fiction witnessed the birth of very important films that left a mark on the collective imagination. 1984 is the year of Terminator, Gremlins, Karate Kid, Nightmare on Elm Street, Ghostbusters and many more titles that are paid tribute to in the 114 pages of the first issue of Weird Magazine.
Coordinated by Jota Ema Weird, host of this channel, and under the auspices of the small Catalan publishing house Pano Art Books, this first issue of Weird Magazine is entitled “1984. Films in the Forties" and has had the honour of having the collaboration of great writers of cinematographic essays such as Octavio López Sanjuán, Salva Rubio or Juan Luis Daza, as well as Reverend Wilson, Ismael Rubio, Nel Rivas, Javier Pueyo and many more authors for a total of twenty-three.
Furthermore, on the occasion of the next edition of the Sitges Festival, Weird Magazine will release its second issue, a new installment dedicated to possession films that will be entitled "There's Something Inside Me". All this with the same spirit: luxury collaborators and the prologue by Marian Salgado, the child protagonist of La Endemoniada by Armando de Ossorio.
Weird Magazine can be purchased on the Pano Art Book website.
